Job summary

A financial technology organization seeks a Sr Datastage Developer to lead ETL program initiatives within the Finance Change Management & Technology team. The successful candidate will independently create and maintain ETL solutions while guiding a team of developers to ensure compliance with best practices. Responsibilities include resolving performance issues, supporting production activities, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization. Strong skills in Datastage and SQL required.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude and analytical thinking required.
• Experience in Datastage 8.1 or above essential.
• Ability to write SQL queries on Oracle and Teradata.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to plan, design and create ETL programs.
• Lead a team of developers onsite and offshore.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support of ETL applications.

Skills

Strong technical aptitude

Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving

Experience in Datastage 8.1 or above

Experience in Datastage Unix commands

Knowledge of data parallelism and performance tuning

Hands on experience in basic Unix shell scripting

Comfortable writing SQL on Oracle and Teradata

Strong time management and task prioritization skills

Excellent communication both verbally and in writing

Self-motivated
