Job summary

UST seeks a Senior DataOps Product Support Engineer to ensure production stability for Data Solutions on Google Cloud Platform in Texas. You will support BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataproc, GCS, Pub/Sub, and CI/CD pipelines, while handling IAM requests and data validation.

Responsibilities include incident management, data accuracy validation, and cross-team collaboration with analysts and data consumers, leveraging Terraform and GitLab for deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience supporting production data platforms or analytics environments.
• Hands-on with GCP services, especially BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataproc, GCS, Pub/Sub.
• Strong SQL and ability to investigate data issues in analytical platforms.
• Proficiency with Python or similar scripting for troubleshooting and tooling.
• Experience with incident management, production triage, and root cause analysis.
• Know-how of IAM, access provisioning, and dataset security in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD and Terraform for infra changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for Data Solutions workloads on GCP ensuring high availability.
• Monitor and support BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataproc, GCS, Pub/Sub and related components.
• Troubleshoot failed pipelines, data loads, and environment deployment issues across dev/cert/prod.
• Investigate incidents using logs, monitoring, SQL analysis, and RCA techniques.
• Manage IAM roles, dataset permissions, service accounts, and directory groups.
• Support user access issues across BigQuery, Databricks, Tableau, and data channels.
• Validate data accuracy and delivery across analytical datasets and tables.
• Assist deployments and promotions using GitLab CI/CD and Terraform.
