NVIDIA in the United States is seeking a hardware engineering leader to own the manufacturing, test and failure analysis/recovery processes for datacenter servers using the latest GPU, CPU and interconnects.

You will partner with HW/FW/SW teams, manufacturing partners and QA to drive DFx feedback, plan for high-quality product, create documentation and SOPs, and push data-driven improvements across global factories.

What You'll Be Doing

• Our team owns, develops and delivers the Manufacturing, Test, and Failure Analysis/recovery process for new datacenter servers and assemblies incorporating the latest NVIDIAs GPU, CPU, and high speed interconnect technologies.
• Early engagement with HW/FW/SW engineering groups, manufacturing partners, and other operations units such as program management and product quality engineering.
• Develop and implement comprehensive product development plans that will result in high quality product. Participate in mfg. process planning, scheduling and cost optimization.
• Participate in Design for Manufacturing / Test (DFX) process and reviews. Provide DFX feedback that results in excellent product quality.
• Work closely with factory personnel and engineering teams during prototype/validation builds, driving solutions to day-to-day problems, collecting metrics and reporting status. Work cross functional teams to define and implement process improvements, based on data collection and analysis.
• Reviewing build dashboards to analyze latest throughput, yields and failure categories. Publishing clear daily status and build reports.
• Develop documentation and SOPs for product assembly, test, debug/failure analysis for internal teams, contract manufacturers or external customers.
• Debugging server platforms as per published guidelines. Working with CM Failure Analysis, Test Engineers and Operators to ensure factory assembly and test plans meet Nvidia’s standards. Performing minor rework, retesting and recovering units.

What We Need To See

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering and 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of complex compute/AI server system architecture. Also knowledgeable about rack scale systems (servers, backend network switches, TOR switches, power shelves, cabling etc.)
• Proven skills and experience in design and manufacture of complex hardware platforms.
• Excellent complex hardware platforms debugging and rational problem solving skills. Ability to review logfiles and make initial triage decisions based on documentation provided by the Engineering Team.
• Familiar with power and thermal system design for datacenter rack server systems.
• Excellent multi-functional collaboration skills, working in a global, matrixed team and motivated to continually improve/optimize processes.
• Familiar with diagnostics/test software as used in a factory setting.
• CPU, GPU, HBM, PCIe expertise and comfortable writing Python code and test scripts.
• Familiarity with linux command line, running commands, reviewing output
• A high-energy, proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability to drive critical tasks and projects through to completion.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD.
