Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, seeks a Solutions Architect 4 to lead Databricks-based data platforms for Los Alamos National Lab. The role involves architecture design, governance, and cross-team leadership to meet DOE mission needs.

The candidate will mentor data engineers and analysts, oversee budgets and schedules, and coordinate with security/compliance teams to ensure policy-aligned implementations. Remote work option is available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (required).
• 15+ years of relevant experience or equivalent mix of education and work.
• 7+ years designing, building, and operating Databricks workloads with medallion architecture.
• Strong Python and SQL, Spark, Notebooks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure timely completion of discrete technical project scope.
• Define deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risks; lead project teams.
• Advise on Databricks reference architecture and full-stack solution design.
• Guide data movement designs and cloud data platform migrations.
• Mentor engineers and analysts in architecture reviews and standards.
