Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience building enterprise Databricks platforms on AWS or Azure.
• Deep knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalog, workspace management, and security models.
• Experience with Spark, Hive, Delta Lake, Hadoop, and other big data technologies.
• Strong security practices: IAM, encryption, data masking, RBAC, and governance.
• Willingness to obtain DHS EOD/Public Trust, as required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain platform observability with KPIs and dashboards.
• Design and manage RBAC and security groups for the platform.
• Integrate with identity management systems (SAML, SCIM, AD).
• Manage Unity Catalog implementation and governance structures.
• Oversee metastore configuration, catalog hierarchies, and data organization.
• Implement data lineage, auditing, and compliance frameworks.
• Design compute policies, cluster configurations, and pool management.
• Monitor and optimize cluster utilisation and performance.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts on data models and transformations.
