Job summary

Nasdaq, Inc. seeks a Senior Specialist, Intelligence Platform Engineer to administer Nasdaq's Databricks Lakehouse—CAP Intelligence Platform—across business units.

You will govern Unity Catalog, manage service principals, and ensure reliable platform operations while aligning with data governance and compliance standards. You will collaborate with six business units and data stewards to enable self-service, create operational docs, and address complex platform issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IS
• 5+ years data platform administration or cloud infra
• Hands-on Databricks administration at scale with Unity Catalog
• Experience delivering governance frameworks and cost management
• Strong cross-functional communicator across technical & business teams

Responsibilities

• Administer and support a multi-workspace Databricks environment with Unity Catalog governance and enterprise integrations
• Own platform-wide governance: ensure catalog structure, metadata standards, tagging; produce scorecards and audits
• Deliver monthly cost and usage reporting across workspaces, identify optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with workspace admins and data stewards to enable self-service admin, document operations
• Support Terraform-based IaC to automate provisioning, governance validation, and reporting
