Job summary

Beusa is seeking a Data Engineer in The Woodlands, TX to own the performance, reliability, and cost of our Databricks environment. You will design Delta tables, pipelines, and SQL workloads to deliver fast, trustworthy data at scale.

You will collaborate with business units to translate requirements into production datasets and dashboards with clear SLAs, and help drive Beusa’s data-driven transformation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Analytics Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and the Lakehouse Platform.
• Expert-level PySpark, Spark SQL, and distributed data processing knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD deployment strategies for data platforms and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Lakehouse pipelines on Databricks (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Own ingestion patterns optimization (Autoloader, CDC, streaming).
• Own data modeling, quality checks, and performance optimization.
• Design, build, and implement interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Educate and support data consumers on tools and best practices.
• Travel to meet with stakeholders as needed.
