Job summary

Planned Systems International (PSI) is seeking a Database Systems Engineer with strong database and software development experience to support VA IETSS. The role involves Python scripting, Oracle and MS SQL databases, and building Python-based web interfaces, with emphasis on testing and architecture analysis.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in CS or related field and 10+ years IT experience, plus familiarity with Oracle Millennium, UNIX/Linux environments, and integrated testing approaches.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years IT experience including software engineering, integration, testing and architecture analysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, implement, test, and manage technology solutions.
• Develop and execute architecture strategies and integration analyses.
• Gather requirements and ensure architectures meet standards and are compliant.
• Analyze application architectures, perform risk assessments, and define testing environments.
• Work on multiple tasks with changing priorities and detail orientation.
• Produce client deliverable analysis reports with minimal supervision.
• Utilize established architecture tools, repositories, and processes to manage artifacts.
