Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is looking for a data reporting analyst to create and maintain reports, retrieve data, and support customers with data criteria. The role is remote, full-time, with standard business hours and no sponsorship eligibility.

You will analyze reporting methods, update programming logic, and participate in project teams to implement new processes and tools. A strong background in database/spreadsheet work and Microsoft Office is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years related work experience.
• 3 years of database, mainframe, or spreadsheet experience.
• 3 years with Easytrieve, DB2, SQL, or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Create reports based on user information and specifications.
• Maintain/revise programming logic for routine reports.

Retrieves and manipulates data using various data manipulation and extraction techniques. Analyzes current reporting methodologies.# **Description****Logistics:** - one of BlueCross BlueShield's South Carolina subsidiary companies.**Location: This a full-time (40 hour/week) Monday - Friday remote position.** You will work an 8- hour shift scheduled during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.**Sponsorship**: This position is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future.**What You'll Do:*** Creates reports in accordance with user information and specifications.* Maintains/revises programming logic for existing routine reports as necessary to report timely and accurate data.* Analyzes current reporting methodologies.* Creates and maintains computer and web-based systems for data retrieval.* Generates routine internal and external reports on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.* Interviews customers to obtain criteria for requested data.* Adds and updates programming logic in accordance to customer specifications and requirements.* Assists with system testing and provides technical support.* Assists with departmental training issues.* Participates on project teams to develop, maintain, and implement new processes, applications, policies, and forms**To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:*** **Required Education:** Associate's degree. **Degree Equivalency**: 2 year's job-related work experience.* **Required Work Experience:** 3 years working with database, mainframe, or spreadsheet applications. 3 years' experience with Easytrieve, DB2, SQL, or similar programs. (may be concurrent).* **Required Skills and Abilities:** Strong computer experience with solid background using spreadsheet and database applications. Attention to detail. Good organizational, analytical, customer service, and communication skills. Knowledge of mathematical or statistical concepts.
