Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Database Administrator to optimize enterprise databases across cloud and on‑prem environments. The role covers backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery while supporting hybrid architectures that blend cloud with legacy systems.

The candidate will perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and resiliency testing, and develop automation for database operations and infrastructure management. US citizenship and public trust eligibility are required.

What You Will Do

• Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Support hybrid infrastructure architectures integrating cloud and legacy systems.
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and resiliency testing.
• Develop automation for database operations and infrastructure management.

What You Will Need

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD \"PUBLIC TRUST\"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
• US Citizenship is contractually required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum of FIVE (5) + years of overall work experience.
• Experience in database administration and infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar database platforms.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and high-availability architectures.

What Would Be Nice To Have

• AWS Database Specialty or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting mainframe-connected applications.
• ArcGIS Enterprise administration experience.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
• Experience supporting federal government systems.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$116,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
