Job summary

Qualifications

• STEM degree and 8+ years in Database Engineering.
• 5+ years relational data modeling with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• 8+ years Oracle SQL/PLSQL and PostgreSQL SQL/plpgsql.
• Experience with bash scripting and Python.
• Linux CLI and deployment automation experience.
• Active TS/SCI CI Poly; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and translate customer needs into viable database design solutions.
• Translate needs and design requirements into physical data models.
• Analyze requirements to identify data modeling impacts.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to gather data requirements.
• Design new database structures (tables, indexes, constraints, views) and modify existing models.
• Implement data model changes (DDL) using change control automation.
• Work with developers on SQL best practices.
• Use data modeling tools such as Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler and Oracle Designer.
• Communicate concepts clearly; apply critical thinking.
• Use analytical skills for problem solving.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Obtain Security+ certification within 60 days.
