Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Database Engineer Level 3 in Annapolis, MD, with an active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph. The role focuses on designing relational and object-oriented databases, parsing and data loading software, and mapping long-range database administration requirements.

Responsibilities cover architecture, lifecycle engineering, querying, cloud integration, and trade-off analysis to balance security, performance, and scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 5 additional years may substitute for the degree.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with Oracle Database, OEM, and Data Guard.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the development of database structures and loading software.
• Manage lifecycle engineering from inception through IOC and testing.
• Translate requirements into functional database schemas and automate queries/macros.
• Build modern systems leveraging ODBC and cloud storage/retrieval.
• Evaluate trade-offs related to scale, access controls, performance, and security.
