Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC seeks a Senior Database Engineer in Annapolis Junction to provide advanced database design, development, and long-term maintenance for mission-critical systems. You will develop relational and object-oriented databases, build parser/loading software, and create scripts to transform data into usable structures, while ensuring alignment with security controls and performance needs.

Ideal candidates have ten years of experience, a technical bachelor’s degree, and DoD IAT II

Qualifications

Ten years of experience as a Database Engineer on large programs or equivalent.
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II compliant is required.
Strong Linux OS expertise and scripting.
Experience with relational and object-oriented databases.

Responsibilities

Support database design, development, implementation, and maintenance in a mission-critical environment.
Lead development of databases, database parser software, and loading tools.
Translate requirements into usable schemas with queries, scripts, and macros.
Direct the organization of data into schemas balancing volume, concurrency, and security.
Ensure database architectures align with system design and performance constraints.
