Job summary

Xelas Systems Engineering, LLC is seeking a Mid to Senior level Database professional to support complex Oracle environments and related technologies. The role requires Top Secret/SCI with LS Polygraph clearance and hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, DataGuard, and RMAN.

You will also work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server in diverse environments. The ideal candidate will write high-quality PL/SQL and SQL, leverage UNIX/Linux shell scripting, and contribute to performance tuning,

Qualifications

Experience with Oracle databases (11g-12c) and Oracle RAC/DataGuard.
Strong background in SQL and PL/SQL.
Proficient in UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
Proficiency in Java or Java-related languages.
Experience with SunOS/Solaris/UNIX/Linux environments and database tools.
Top Secret/SCI clearance with LS Polygraph.
Ability to work with minimal direction and proactively support customers.
Ability to write custom PL/SQL and SQL for user/application needs.

Responsibilities

Develop and tune database code for performance, availability, and scalability.
Perform backup and recovery planning with RMAN and DataGuard.
Support and enhance existing software and database systems as part of a team.
Analyze data requirements, validate data integrity, and optimize storage architectures.
Collaborate with customers to address database-related requirements and issues.
