Qualifications

• Interest in data security and CTEM/exposure management.
• Strong hands-on experience in database engineering or data-platform engineering.
• Experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL technologies and their architecture.
• Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, roles and permissions.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and translate into practical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Apply database and data-platform engineering across RDBMS, NoSQL, data warehouses, object storage, and related data services with a security lens.
• Investigate issues like overly broad access, stale entitlements, exposed storage, and misconfigured access policies.
• Use queries, logs, and evidence to validate exposures and map real-world impact and attack paths.
• Partner with database, data platform, cloud, and security teams to develop remediation strategies and guardrails.
• Help prioritize issues by exploitability and business impact rather than all findings equally.
• Reduce recurring data-access risks through better engineering practices, configurations, and controls.
