Job summary

Avint seeks a Database Engineer to design and implement relational and/or object-oriented databases, parser software, and loading tools. You will translate requirements into schemas, develop queries, and optimize data flow across cloud storage and on-prem systems.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in similar programs and at least 7 years in SQL Server architecture, with a Bachelor’s in IT or equivalent experience. DoD 8570 IAT II and LENEL LCE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• At least 7 years developing SQL Server database architecture.
• Degree requirement may be substituted by 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design database structures aligned with system architecture.
• Support database administration and design for short- and long-term needs.
• Translate requirements into usable schemas, scripts, and macros.
• Build and maintain systems using SQL/database queries and cloud storage.
• Lead development of database structures, parsers, and loading software.
• Direct schema development from requirements and oversee ad hoc queries.
