Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with Cassandra/NoSQL systems.
• Experience with Astra or AWS Keyspaces a plus.
• Proficient in Cassandra data modeling and keyspace/table/index management.
• Solid Linux and Java configuration knowledge.
• Familiar with MongoDB and tombstone/GC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Plan Cassandra cluster deployments based on data volumes and loads.
• Set up and configure Cassandra clusters from scratch.
• Monitor cluster availability and performance with tools.
• Export data for downstream consumption in various formats.
• Apply appropriate primary/secondary indexes for queries.
• Perform backups/restores and data protection procedures.
• Tune JVM, caching, and compaction settings for performance.
• Run stress tests and analyze performance metrics.

We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join our team. This role offers the chance to work on complex data systems that support critical business operations at scale.
