CDW | Managed Application Services

CDW is looking for a Senior Database Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role supporting enterprise SQL Server environments. You’ll provide advanced database support, contribute to solution design in pre-sales efforts, and work directly with clients to solve complex technical challenges.

What You’ll Do:

• Administer, monitor, and optimize SQL Server databases in customer environments
• Implement and manage high availability/disaster recovery (Always On, WSFC, log shipping)
• Troubleshoot performance issues and lead database tuning initiatives
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and patching
• Collaborate on architecture planning and provide pre-sales scoping support
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices

What You Bring:

7+ years of SQL Server DBA experience

Deep T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization skills

Hands-on experience with SQL Server HA/DR solutions

Proficiency in SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and large-scale data warehousing

Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking basics

Strong scripting in PowerShell or Linux shell

Excellent client communication and documentation skills

Preferred: MCSA, MCP, ITIL certifications
