Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC seeks a Senior Database Developer with strong Oracle PL/SQL, REST APIs, and front-end web tech skills to lead data migration projects. The role emphasizes hands-on database design, API integration, and front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on data integrity and compliance within a defense context.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience w/ a relevant bachelor's degree OR 10+ years of experience.
• 3 years of consulting experience preferred.
• Strong Oracle SQL proficiency and data migration experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL database solutions.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end components.
• Build and support web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Plan and execute data migration activities including mapping and validation.

Description:

Seeking a skilled Database Developer with strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, REST APIs, and front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data migration projects and a proven ability to design, develop, and optimize database-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using Oracle PL/SQL
• Write efficient queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and support web-based applications
• Develop and maintain front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications
• Plan and execute data migration activities, including data mapping, transformation, and validation
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices
• Document technical designs, processes, and workflows

Required Skills:

• Experience with Oracle databases 19c or higher
• Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and relational database concepts
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs
• Solid experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Proven experience in data migration projects and tools
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications
• A security-conscious engineer capable of implementing and maintaining end-to-end security measures across the entire stack
• Experience developing, testing, and debugging software components, and following formal change management processes to deploy solutions to production environments
• Ability to perform light Unix administration, including user access management, access lists and permissions, log analysis, system performance management, software updates, system performance monitoring, and shell scripting for automation tasks
• Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and Middleware (e.g., Tomcat)
• Experience with Oracle JSON and handling JSON data within the database
• Experience with database performance tuning and query optimizationFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration techniques
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Experience with Perl and Python scripting
