Job summary

The Swift Group in Reston/Herndon, VA, seeks a Senior Database Developer to design, implement, and scale data pipelines and database infrastructure on AWS. You will optimize PostgreSQL/SQL databases, build robust data structures, and enable data-driven applications with APIs and BI tools like Power BI.

You’ll collaborate in an Agile team, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure secure, efficient data flow across environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated database experience preferably with PostgreSQL and SQL databases.
• Proficiency in working with views, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Strong knowledge of SQL scripting, database indexing, and optimization techniques.
• Experience in developing and interfacing with APIs.
• Experience in developing, creating, and modifying data structures and load routines for business use.
• Expertise in working with relational data, including cleansing, transforming, and processing structured data.
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
• Experience working within an Agile project management framework.
• Proven experience collaborating with diverse teams, including client staff, IT customers, and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
