Job summary

J T is seeking a Database Engineer (Level 3) in Annapolis, MD, to provide high-level expertise in database design, development, and deployment across Oracle and NoSQL platforms. You will shape data models, implement loading tools, and ensure secure, scalable data flows from requirements through IOC.

Responsibilities include architecture and design of database structures, full lifecycle engineering from inception to IOC, translating complex requirements into efficient schemas, and balancing

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• 10+ years as a Database Engineer on similar programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (five additional years of DBE experience may substitute for degree).
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Database, OEM, and Data Guard.
• Strong Linux OS and Bash scripting proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: direct and lead development of database structures, schemas, parser tools, and loading software.
• Full Lifecycle Engineering: manage requirements from inception through IOC and testing.
• Query & Data Manipulation: translate requirements into functional schemas and automate queries and scripts.
• Cloud & Integration: build modern systems using cloud storage/retrieval and ODBC.
• Trade-Off Analysis: balance scale, security, performance, distribution, and access controls.
