Job summary

Innovative Tech Solutions Inc is seeking a skilled Database Architect to join our team in Woodlyn, MD. You will design and optimize data infrastructure powering our technology products and collaborate with engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance database solutions.

Candidate should have 5+ years in database architecture, strong SQL and experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL, plus cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Spanner) and data warehousing concepts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in database architecture, design, or administration.
• Proficiency in SQL and databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with cloud database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Spanner).
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level database architectures and data models.
• Evaluate and implement database technologies including relational, NoSQL, and cloud-based solutions.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and schema design.
• Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to define data requirements and solutions.
• Establish and enforce database standards, best practices, and governance policies.
• Lead database migration, integration, and modernization initiatives.
• Monitor database health, security, and disaster recovery planning.
