Job summary

Profit Recovery Partners is seeking a Senior Database Developer – AI/ML Data Systems to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable database systems in a Data/AI context. You will drive data models, security, DR planning, and performance tuning while collaborating with data scientists and engineers at our Santa Ana office.

You will mentor the team, shape data architecture standards, and partner with AI initiatives to prepare data for ML models and semantic search.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in database development, administration, and optimization.
• Expert-level proficiency with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server with demonstrated mastery of T-SQL and advanced performance tuning/optimization strategies.
• Deep experience designing complex data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical design phases.
• Strong expertise with ETL/data integration tools and processes using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Apache Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex and highly scalable database systems.
• Conduct advanced performance tuning and optimization to maximize system performance.
• Develop and implement proactive monitoring to detect and resolve performance issues.
• Investigate and resolve complex database-related issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Design and implement robust ETL processes to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Provide expert-level database administration, including capacity planning and DR planning.
• Develop and implement security measures and encryption to protect data.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the database team.
