Job summary

I2X Technologies is seeking a Database Administrator / Engineer to support a government customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This on-site role requires an active Secret clearance and hands-on DBA experience with Oracle and Postgres databases.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining database-backed software, applying standards, and ensuring DR/HA readiness across the system lifecycle. Candidates should have 9+ years of experience and a STEM degree.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (STEM).
• Active Secret clearance required.
• 9 years of professional IT experience.
• SEC+ certification preferred.
• DBA experience with Oracle and Postgres databases.
• Database patching, lifecycle management, and DR/HA know-how.
• Experience installing Oracle Database on Unix.
• Familiarity with Docker/Podman for database workloads.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and conduct software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug database-backed software.
• Ensure standards and processes are applied across the lifecycle.
• Apply hardware/software knowledge to database-driven applications.
• Resolve issues related to program intent, data input, and output.
• Maintain database security, patching, and high availability.
