Job summary

The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Database Administrator to support and maintain Oracle and MySQL installations for the UM System. You will install, upgrade, patch, back up and restore databases, maintain replication for DR, and troubleshoot performance issues.

The role requires a 24x7 on-call rotation and some off-hour work, with scripting and automation as key assets. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and four+ years of experience administering Oracle and MySQL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a related field.
• Four or more years of experience administrating Oracle database and MySQL, with RMAN, Grid Control, ASM, Data Guard, and RDBMS tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade and patch database software.
• Backup and restore databases.
• Maintain replication for disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot performance and configuration issues.
