Job summary

Infosys is seeking an Infrastructure Consultant 2 in the USA to join our delivery team. You will resolve complex incidents, perform root cause analyses, and document preventive recommendations across enterprise IT environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Redshift, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Aurora RDS is mandatory.
• Knowledge of database design, architecture reviews, provisioning, upgrades, patching, backup, and HA/DR.
• Experience in performance tuning, SQL optimization, and production support.
• Experience with AWS DMS migrations and ECS/Fargate database integration.
• Experience with optimizing database sizing and AWS cost management.
• Experience supporting Agile/Kanban operations, incidents, maintenance, and database changes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client teams to resolve incidents, perform root-cause analyses, and document preventive actions.
• Assess client IT infrastructure; prepare reports and identify maturity gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Design scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions and produce deployment documentation.
• Coordinate releases, readiness, deployments, and post-deployment testing with version control.
• Schedule maintenance, fixes, and upgrades while ensuring system continuity.
• Analyze performance data, provide insights on system behaviour, and support capacity planning.
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits to meet standards.
• Identify automation opportunities and optimize infrastructure processes for efficiency gains.
• Coordinate with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams to document project requirements.
• Develop a centralized knowledge repository leveraging project learnings.
