Job summary

Infosys is seeking an Infrastructure Consultant 2 in the United States to collaborate with diverse teams on complex incidents, infrastructure assessments, and scalable design. You will drive deployment readiness, security checks, and automation initiatives across banking, wealth management, and insurance domains.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS Redshift, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Aurora RDS, and DMS migrations, with emphasis on reliability and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Redshift, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Aurora RDS is mandatory.
• Experience in database design, architecture reviews, provisioning, upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, and HA/DR.
• Experience in performance tuning, SQL optimization, and production support.
• Experience with AWS DMS migrations and ECS/Fargate database integration.
• Experience with optimize database sizing, architecture, and AWS costs.
• Experience with supporting Agile/Kanban operations, incidents, maintenance, and database changes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and document findings with preventive recommendations
• Evaluate client IT infrastructure, prepare actionable assessment reports, and support due diligence to document infrastructure maturity and improvement opportunities
• Design scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions, review reusable components, and develop technical documentation for deployed systems
• Align release schedules and environment readiness, execute deployments per protocols, perform post-deployment testing, and manage version control to track changes
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring uninterrupted integration into existing systems
• Facilitate performance data analysis across systems, coordinate insights on system behavior, and support capacity planning
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits, implement security measures, and coordinate continuity plans
• Gather feedback to identify automation opportunities, analyze existing infrastructure processes, and propose efficiency enhancements
• Act as liaison with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams to document project requirements
• Develop a centralized repository of technical and procedural knowledge to drive efficiency
