Job summary

BigBear.ai is seeking a Software Engineer focused on Data Visualization to design and implement advanced visualizations from complex data sets. You will build a visualization toolkit, develop backend services, and ensure robust frontend-backend integration in a Linux production environment.

Required are a technical BS with 14+ years in software engineering, proficiency in Python or Java, and active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

Qualifications

BS in software engineering or related technical field with 14+ years of software engineering experience.
Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance required.
Proficiency in Python or Java for backend development.
Experience building multi-dimensional visualizations (time-series, cascading, drill-down).
Full-stack development experience with REST APIs.
Hands-on with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.

Responsibilities

Develop and support a data visualization toolkit including deployment and usage.
Backend services and data processing pipelines using Python or Java.
Create time-series, cascading, and drill-down visualizations for analytics platforms.
Build and consume REST APIs to enable frontend-backend integration.
Manage relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and analytics workloads.
Deploy, debug, and operate services in Linux production environments.
