Qualifications

• BS plus 8+ years of relevant experience or MS plus 6+ years
• Active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP)
• Proven BI/data visualization track record for enterprise use
• Familiarity with IT Operations and sustainment
• Experience with ETL techniques across structured and unstructured data sources
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX/Power Query) and MicroStrategy (Dossiers)
• Strong SQL and data warehouse querying skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders
• United States Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance at time of hire

Job Summary

JCS Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data/Visualization Engineer specializing in data visualization to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to design, develop, and maintain informative dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI and MicroStrategy. The successful candidate will play a critical mission-support role by transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that directly facilitate business strategy, decision-making, and IT Operations sustainment. In support of critical mission requirements enhancing the reliability and security of Department of War (DoW) networks and systems.

What you will do:

• Dashboard Development - Design, build, and deploy interactive dashboards, reports, and dossiers using Power BI and MicroStrategy
• IT Operations Support - Identify, extract, and analyze relevant data specifically in support of IT Operations and system sustainment initiatives
• Data Integration & ETL - Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from disparate structured and unstructured data sources to prepare it for analysis and visualization
• Stakeholder Collaboration - Partner with business leaders and IT decision-makers to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical visualization specifications
• Data Analysis - Interrogate and analyze complex datasets to uncover critical trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic initiatives
• Optimization & Quality Assurance - Validate data accuracy, troubleshoot reporting anomalies, and optimize dashboard performance for end-users
• User Enablement - Provide guidance, documentation, and training to end-users on how to effectively interact with and interpret the visualization tools
• Documentation & Standards - Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, standard operating procedures, and data dictionaries in support of delivered products
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all tools comply with DoW STIGs and IL5/IL6/IL7 protocols; develop and maintain architectural documentation and compliance traceability
• Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.

What you will bring:

• Requires BS and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Certification: Active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP) required
• Core Experience: Proven professional track record in data analysis, business intelligence, and building data visualizations for enterprise use
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with IT Operations and sustainment, including a strong understanding of how to identify and apply relevant data to support these functions
• Data Integration / ETL: Experience with data extract, transform, and load (ETL) techniques using disparate structured and unstructured data sources
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced hands‑on experience with Power BI (including DAX and Power Query) and MicroStrategy (including Dossiers and standard reporting)
• Database Skills: Strong command of SQL and experience querying complex relational databases and data warehouses
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical data findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required
• Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) required at time of hire

At JCS Solutions, compensation is based on a number of factors such as location, qualifications, and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00
