Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Data Technical Architect (Consultant) to design and deliver technical components within a larger data solution. You will collaborate with Solution Architects and Customer Architects to ensure high-quality data solutions are integrated effectively.

You will own designs, set technical standards, estimate timelines, contribute to pre-sales, and help grow a small team. Strong experience with Java/Scala/Python and modern data stores is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java, Scala or Python with multiple programming paradigms (functional, OO).
• Experience owning a data component/product (ingestion/streaming) including architecture and planning.
• Experience designing and productionising distributed data-intensive applications.
• Experience with modern data stores and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability communicate complex technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technical components of a data solution.
• Collaborate with Solution and Customer Architects to integrate components.
• Set and ensure technical standards with engineers.
• Estimate timelines for technical component delivery.
