ARCHER is seeking a software engineer to develop core Oracle Database and Exadata software in Redwood City. You will focus on scalability, performance, and reliability, working across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will design distributed systems, optimize I/O and memory hierarchies, and collaborate with cloud teams to deliver stable, high-performance solutions. A strong background in C/C++, Linux, and Rust is valued.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, along with 1-7 years of software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ skills and knowledge of Linux, distributed systems, operating systems, networking, storage, computer architecture, memory hierarchy, I/O, and concurrency.
• Database experience and Rust are advantageous.
