Job summary

Atlas HXM is seeking a Senior Engineer who treats data as a core software discipline, owning the data systems, pipelines, and internal platforms powering our production services and application backend. You will care deeply about clean code, system performance, cost efficiency, automated testing, and developer experience, choosing simple, maintainable systems over over-engineered ones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software production in a role involving data systems.
• Deep understanding of relational database internals and indexing strategies.
• Experience with serverless streaming ingestion platforms and data storage formats.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and production code delivery.
• Experience building AI/LLM-backed data use cases and retrieval pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with product and backend engineers on schemas and storage for read/write patterns.
• Write clean, tested code (SQL, Python, TypeScript or similar).
• Audit slow queries, optimize storage formats, and control costs.
• Enforce CI/CD and version control across data systems.
• Set up automated data testing, alerting, and monitoring to catch data quality issues.
