Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years IT experience including senior roles.
• 5+ years in enterprise streaming or secure delivery environments.
• Expert-level Kafka, Flink, Java, Avro, and Confluent Schema Registry expertise.
• Define enterprise streaming patterns, reference architectures, standards, and reusable solutions.
• Experience with Kafka Streams or similar stateful streaming frameworks.
• Strong CI/CD and DevSecOps practices experience.
• Secure CI/CD pipelines design with Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, and Nexus.
• Experience with enterprise vulnerability management and secure coding.
• POAM-aligned remediation workflows.
• Hands-on design of secure microservices.
• Kafka security configurations including SSL/mTLS and SASL/OAUTHBEARER.
• Knowledge of Kafka internals: brokers, partitions, replication, consumer groups, ISR, retention, ACLs, RBAC, health.
• Troubleshoot lag, serialization failures, rebalancing, replication delays, and performance bottlenecks.
• Create enterprise docs, standards, architectures, reusable patterns.
• Strong technical leadership, mentoring, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Guide application and platform teams in adopting standardized patterns for Kafka, Flink, CI/CD security, and streaming delivery.
• Define and maintain reference architectures, standards, and reusable streaming components.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across multiple teams to resolve complex incidents.
• Oversee secure development practices including schema governance and RBAC.
• Participate in architecture governance and CoE initiatives.
