Our flagship product, Rally, is a social graph, power-mapping tool, and program management platform that makes running scaled relational programs simple. Our in-house program team brings their deep experience to supercharge the programs that run on Rally and mobilize communities at scale to have meaningful conversations, get out the vote, and so much more.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In 2025, Relentless is running compensated relational programs in multiple states using Rally. Our programs will hire thousands of low turnout voters to become relational organizers in their communities and mobilize their friends and families to vote. We’re looking for a Senior Data Strategist to play a critical role in reporting insights to team members and maintaining the data systems our programs rely on.

The Senior Data Strategist will create and own dashboards and reports, assist in managing our participant communication infrastructure, and play a key role in supporting our program’s data infrastructure.

This Senior Data Strategist will directly report to the Deputy Data Director. This role will play a role in most, if not all, facets of our program data infrastructure – from interfacing with various stakeholders to build reports, pulling multiple lists of participants to send SMS/email blasts on a daily basis, maintaining/updating Retool apps, as well as any miscellaneous tasks.

This is a full-time, remote, and temporary position with an estimated start date of July 15th, 2025 and an end date of November 30, 2025.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $7,000/month

JOB DUTIES

• Create and maintain reports/dashboards in collaboration with the Deputy Data Director to monitor recruitment, application reviewal, participant messaging efforts, and program participation
• Write SQL queries to resolve impromptu requests from stakeholders about our programs’ performance
• Coordinate with participant communication and recruitment teams to pull lists of mobilizers and initiate one-off email/SMS sends on a daily basis
• Updating SQL models in our reverse ETL tool to ensure necessary participant data is being synced to external tools/CRMs
• Creating/updating workflows in our external CRM to send automated emails and texts to participants
• Build Retool apps using our data in BigQuery to make critical lists/data accessible for other staff

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Intermediate SQL experience, particularly writing SQL for extracting insights from normalized tables and creating views for reports
• Experience with Google BigQuery
• Able to consistently juggle multiple tasks and deliver by given deadlines
• Comfortable working directly with a variety of team members to meet their needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information in an accessible way to non-technical staff
• Experience working with CRM or participant communication platforms. Not required, but let us know if you have experience with any of the following:

  • Other email, text, or phone call platforms (Hubspot, Scale to Win, Strive Messaging, etc.)
• Commitment to fighting for progressive electoral outcomes
• Thrives in a highly-collaborative remote work environment. This position is entirely virtual and requires access to reliable internet and proficiency in online platforms and tools (Google workspace, Zoom, Slack, etc.)

HELPFUL TO HAVE (BUT NOT REQUIRED)

• Experience in Python
• Experience creating apps in Retool
• Comfortable writing short JavaScript/TypeScript snippets
• Experience creating automated jobs to ingest data using Airflow

This work will require being available evenings and weekends during peak program days and as Election Day nears. The Senior Data Strategist should expect to be online and available six days a week from September 8, 2025 - November 4, 2025.
