Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Data Stewardship professional to lead data governance, quality, and privacy initiatives across the organization. You will define and enforce data quality rules, manage metadata, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive best practices in data management.

The role requires mentoring teammates, guiding complex IT projects, and partnering with privacy and governance leaders to ensure regulatory compliance within banking/financial services contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and eight years of related experience or equivalent education and related training or experience
• Deep specialized and/or broad knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with data stewardship/management.
• Previous experience in leading IT projects of significant complexity and risk exposure.
• Master’s degree or MBA and ten years of related experience or equivalent education and related training or experience (Preferred).
• Banking or financial services experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identifies business unit data critical business processes and critical data elements
• Ensures data controls are implemented and maintained
• Participates in domain working groups and best practices forums
• Collaborates with Data Domain Working Group for approving new CDEs
• Defines Data Quality rules and standards
• Monitors Data Quality activities
• Reviews and updates central metadata repository with business metadata content
• Defines Data Privacy rules in collaboration with the Chief Privacy Officer
• Mentors less experienced teammates
