Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Data Governance Lead to support strategy, governance, and lifecycle frameworks for business rule management and data quality within DHH, with an initial focus on Oncology.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data rules, quality checks, governance processes, and implementation requirements. The role includes documenting rules, ownership, and change management, plus contributing to KPI tracking and data quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data management, information systems, CS, business, life sciences, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, commercial, clinical, or regulated data environments.
• Experience in business rule management, data quality, data governance, data management, or related data strategy work.
• Ability to translate business requirements into data rules, quality checks, governance processes, or automated data management workflows.
• Technical understanding of database structures and data platforms, with SQL experience.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without authority.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Experience using JIRA or similar tools to manage requirements, workflows, or delivery activities.

Responsibilities

• Support strategy, governance, and lifecycle framework for business rule management and data quality within DHH, focusing on Oncology.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into data rules, quality checks, governance processes, and implementation requirements.
• Create and maintain business rule documentation including ownership, traceability, versioning, and change management practices.
• Contribute to data quality standards, profiling approaches, issue management, root cause analysis, remediation tracking, scorecards, and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and scale data rule and quality processes via improved workflows, tooling, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to implement rules and quality checks within Databricks, SQL-based processes, and related platforms.
• Support change management and adoption activities for Oncology launches and expansion to other therapeutic areas.
• Communicate data, rule, and quality concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior partners.
