Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a fintech company, seeks an experienced Data Steward to support enterprise data governance, data catalog development, and data federation initiatives within the credit card industry.

Responsibilities include documenting and standardizing business terminology and data definitions, engaging stakeholders to validate definitions, and ensuring governance metadata is accurate before it enters the data federation environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data governance or data stewardship.
• Credit card industry experience.
• Experience implementing or working with data catalogs.
• Experience documenting business/data definitions and supporting data federation documentation.
• Ability to independently engage business stakeholders to gather and validate definitions.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Document and standardize business terminology, data definitions, and governance information.
• Work with stakeholders to gather and clarify business definitions.
• Identify incomplete or inconsistent definitions and request clarification.
• Support the development and population of a data catalog.
• Ensure documentation is complete and accurate before inclusion in the data federation environment.
• Collaborate with the Semantic Engineer on semantic inference and context-layer responsibilities.
• Participate in training on the selected data management platform.

Job Location: Atlanta, GA Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote (flexible which days)

Job Salary: $130-160K

Interview Process: 3 rounds

1st round: 30-minute technical/cultural screening with manager

2nd round: 30-minute panel screening with 3-4 team members and HR person

3rd round: 1 hour in-person lunch with manager in Atlanta

Optomi, in partnership with a fin-tech company, is seeking an experienced Data Stewardto support enterprise data governance, data catalog development, and data federation initiatives within the credit card industry. This individual will be responsible for documenting, standardizing, and validating business terminology, data definitions, and governance metadata to ensure data assets are accurately represented and consistently understood across the organization.

Job Must Haves:

• 5+ YOE
• Credit card industry experience.
• Previous experience implementing or working with data catalogs.
• Experience documenting business/data definitions and supporting data federation documentation.
• Ability to independently engage business stakeholders to gather and validate definitions.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Job Nice to Haves:

• Data governance or data stewardship background.
• Experience working with data quality or data management platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise data federation initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI-related data initiatives.

About the Position / Current Initiatives:
