City of New York's Office of Technology and Innovation is seeking a Senior Data Service Developer to join the Integration Services - Data Analytics team in Brooklyn, NY. You will design and implement scalable data pipelines and analytics capabilities across City agencies.

The role requires advanced data engineering skills, API development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful government tech projects on a 24/7 operation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering/related field with 4 years full-time experience.
• Associate degree with 6 years full-time experience in related area.
• Bachelor's degree with 8 years relevant experience.
• Education/experience equivalent to above options.

Responsabilités

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture that is coherent and scalable.
• Build analytics tools to provide insights into engagement and performance.
• Develop APIs for data access or landing data downstream.
• Perform the technical design, development, and testing of repository changes.
• Build ETLs for data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL, cloud, and big data tech.
• Develop ETLs to move data securely between sources and targets.
• Contribute to new technology projects and provide operations & maintenance support.
• Troubleshoot errors, defects, and issues.
• Create, update, and maintain system documentation.
• Collaborate with City’s Cyber Command for security accreditation.
• Perform special projects and initiatives.

Formation

Baccalaureate degree in CS/engineering/related field

Associate degree + 6 years experience in related area

Baccalaureate degree + 8 years relevant experience

Education/experience equivalent to 1-3 above
