Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. in Fort Meade, Maryland, seeks a Data Scientist 4 to develop performance metrics, analyze mission data, automate workflows, and create actionable visualizations using Python-based analytics.

You will build data ontologies, establish cross-divisional metrics, and present findings to Government stakeholders, leveraging Jupyter, Pandas, and modern visualization tools in a security-cleared environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s with 11+ years.
• Proficiency with Jupyter notebooks and Pandas DataFrames.
• Experience developing metrics and analyzing large or complex datasets.
• Experience interacting with APIs and building or using data-retrieval tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain data ontologies and dictionaries.
• Establish systematic interdivisional metrics and performance measurements.
• Perform data analysis using Python, Jupyter notebooks, Pandas, and related tools.
• Develop data visualizations, reports, and dashboards.
• Identify access, technical, and data gaps and recommend data-driven improvements.
• Automate analytical and reporting workflows.
• Develop or use APIs and tools to retrieve, transform, and analyze mission data.
• Present analytical results and technical findings to Government and mission stakeholders.
