Job summary

Protagonist is seeking a data-focused analyst to lead internal data efforts and collaborate with product teams to shape Narrative Analytics®. You’ll design and apply ML/AI methods to large, unstructured datasets and translate findings into actionable client recommendations.

You’ll build AI-powered workflows, create dashboards, and mentor junior analysts, while communicating complex results to non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s (or 3+ with an advanced degree)
• Hands-on experience with text-as-data: media, social media, or open-source text corpora
• Proficiency in Python or R and SQL
• Experience with NLP/ML methods and applying LLMs in workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead internal data efforts: shape approach, ensure reproducibility and defensibility
• Design prompts, LLM chains, and agentic workflows for analysis at scale
• Build dashboards and visualizations (Tableau, Superset) to present insights to clients
• Shape Narrative Analytics with product teams and mentor junior analysts
