Job summary

Capital One is hiring a Senior Associate, Data Scientist for the Beyond AML Modeling & Innovations (BAMI) team. You will partner with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver data-driven products at scale, leveraging Python, AWS, Spark, and ML techniques on billions of records.

The role will develop models from design through deployment, applying NLP, graph methods, and Generative AI to address risk challenges, with advanced degrees and hands-on cloud skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 2 years of experience performing data analytics
• Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
• Experience with AWS, Python/Scala/R and machine learning techniques

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies - Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more - to reveal insights from large datasets
• Build machine learning models through all phases of development: design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
• Translate complex technical work into tangible business goals
