Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Associate, Data Scientist for the Beyond AML Modeling & Innovations team in McLean, VA. You will build and deploy ML models across large datasets, collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver impactful solutions.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data analytics or a Master’s in a quantitative field, strong Python/Scala/R and SQL skills, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Spark.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 2 years of data analytics experience or
• Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with a quantitative concentration

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data products loved by customers.
• Leverage Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to uncover insights from large datasets.
• Build ML models through all development phases from design to deployment.
• Translate complex work into tangible business outcomes.
