Job summary

Veeva Systems is seeking an experienced Data Scientist for the Link Key Accounts team to turn multi-source healthcare data into reliable intelligence about healthcare organizations and decision-makers.

You'll build models across claims, financial data, and qualitative signals, infer structures, map networks, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to deploy solutions from prototype to production in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data science and statistics experience.
• Experience with healthcare data and the US healthcare system.
• Experience with healthcare claims data (medical and/or pharmacy) and the metrics derived from it.
• Experience with healthcare organizational data (HCO/HCP, IDN, GPO, payer).
• Experience developing clinical ontologies or standardized healthcare data models.
• Experience with entity resolution, record linkage, or fuzzy matching on real-world data.

Responsibilities

• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to healthcare data to build new metrics and methodologies.
• Transform public financial data into signals and a coherent story about financial health of healthcare organizations.
• Build entity resolution and record-linkage models across health systems, providers, employers, and payers.
• Develop affiliation and network mapping — inferring how organizations and people connect.
• Infer organizational structure from signals, building org charts and decision-maker maps.
• Design data-sourcing methodologies that evaluate and combine diverse inputs into accurate signals.
• Build models powering account targeting and segmentation.
• Partner with Product, Data Engineering, and QA to move solutions to production.
