DMI is seeking a Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Specialist to support data-driven decision-making, advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and ML initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.

The role requires experience with large datasets, cross-functional collaboration, and translating data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. Remote work within the US is supported.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including expertise in Python, R, and SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex analytical models and techniques to analyze large, complex data sets.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of data management best practices, including data quality, security, and privacy regulations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating across organizations, building consensus, and obtaining required system authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced data science, statistical modeling, and machine learning solutions to address complex business and mission requirements.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, relationships, and actionable insights.
• Develop and validate statistical and machine learning models using appropriate analytical techniques and methodologies.
• Perform data exploration, preparation, transformation, feature engineering, and statistical analysis to support modeling and decision-making.
• Develop analytical solutions using Python, R, SQL, and other data science technologies.
• Build dashboards, visualizations, and analytical products using Power BI and Tableau.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders and stakeholders.
