Job summary

IBM Software is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help shape Confluent's data-in-motion platform by translating data into strategic product decisions. You will collaborate with product teams and cross-functional partners to drive growth and revenue through analytics and experimentation.

You will apply advanced analytics, build dashboards with Tableau, and influence product strategy while communicating complex results to technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science/Analytics.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation.
• Experience with A/B testing and experiment best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Own prioritization for your domain and define the data science roadmap with product managers and engineers.
• Define and measure success metrics for new features and initiatives.
• Use data to uncover trends and drive strategic product decisions.
• Apply quantitative analysis, data mining, and experimentation to improve product experience.
• Share insights with leadership to inform product strategy.
• Collaborate with other data scientists to share best practices and upskill juniors.
• Peer review teammates’ work and provide constructive feedback.
