Job summary

Metas Solutions in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to support CDC initiatives, providing scientific, epidemiologic, statistical, and advanced analytic expertise to the Actionable Data Branch and CDC Data Hub.

You will develop study questions, analyze large healthcare datasets, interpret findings, and translate data into actionable public health insights, collaborating with CDC scientists and program staff across cloud-based platforms such as Palantir

Qualifications

• Experience providing senior-level scientific, epidemiologic, statistical, and data analytic support for public health, biomedical or epidemiologic research.
• Experience developing study designs and analytic plans for surveillance, research, and response.
• Experience collaborating with epidemiologists, data scientists, data managers, and engineers on advanced analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level scientific, epidemiologic, statistical, and data analytic support for CDC Data Hub, ADB, and OPHDST priorities.
• Develop study questions, analytic plans, and methodological approaches for public health surveillance and research.
• Conduct advanced analyses of large healthcare datasets and interpret findings for public health insights.
• Lead or support dissemination of analytic reports, technical briefs, and scientific publications.
• Collaborate with data scientists, epidemiologists, data managers, and engineers to ensure data quality and reproducibility.
• Promote reusable analytic practices through documented code and shared repositories.
