Minimum qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
2. 8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) OR 5 years of work experience with a Master's degree.

Role overview: Help serve Google's global user base of over a billion people. Data Scientists provide quantitative support, market understanding, and strategic insights to partners across the organization. As an analytics expert, you will use data to inform decisions, craft stories from insights, and make recommendations to Engineering and Product teams.

Team mission: The Search AI Mode Data Science team aims to leverage data, measurement methodologies, and modeling to advance Search capabilities, especially in the context of GenAI, exploring new ways users interact with Google Search.

Impact and responsibilities:

• Analyze data using tools like SQL, R, Python to solve complex, open-ended business problems.
• Develop processes, procedures, and tests to address future challenges.
• Report on KPIs to support business reviews and translate analysis into actionable insights.
• Create and prototype analyses and business cases to scale insights and advocate for data-driven product development.
• Collaborate across teams to align resources and strategies.

Compensation: US base salary range for this full-time role is $156,000-$229,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Specific ranges will be provided during hiring.
