Job summary

LiveRamp, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Senior Data Scientist to own measurement pipelines, combining causal inference with large-scale data engineering to ship PySpark logic inside privacy-preserving clean rooms.

You will prototype models, translate them into production workflows, and partner with software/data engineers to monitor cloud‑based measurement platforms across multi‑cloud environments. Strong communication with product teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Masters with 5‑8+ years experience or PhD with 2+ years in a data science field.
• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, PySpark) and SQL for large datasets.
• Solid statistical foundation and experience in experiments (A/B, geo‑tests) and causal methods.
• Experience with Spark, Jupyter, Airflow and cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
• OO programming, modular pipelines, version control and productionizing models.

Responsibilities

• Use statistical and ML techniques to reduce bias, build representative samples, and analyze randomized studies.
• Collaborate with engineers to design models that measure ad performance across large datasets.
• Prototype statistics/data models and translate to SQL, pandas, and PySpark workflows for production.
• Extend a modular codebase with Python abstractions and testable measurement logic.
• Maintain models by understanding their ingredients and assumptions.
• Build models delivering ad measurement inside privacy-preserving clean rooms.
• Translate models into production PySpark workflows configured by different settings.
• Partner with engineers to design/monitor cloud infrastructure powering pipelines across clouds.
• Drive product development in retail media/brand measurement with configurable workflows.
• Engage clients to translate insights into pipeline improvements and new offerings.
• Document methodology/runbooks and train teams to operate measurement workflows.
• Stay current with ad-tech measurement and causal inference best practices.
