Job summary

DuckDuckGo is seeking a senior Data Scientist to drive product impact through statistical modeling, experiment design, and Bayesian analytics across search, AI, and revenue optimization. You will own end-to-end data projects from scoping to production in a remote-first team.

Requirements include 7+ years in data science, Python, strong SQL, NLP/LLMs experience, and collaboration with product teams. Compensation includes stock options; US health benefits eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Data Science experience leading complex projects from scoping to production.
• Experience deploying ML in production environments.
• Strong SQL and query optimization skills; familiarity with columnar databases like BigQuery, Clickhouse, Redshift, or Druid.
• Production-grade Python or similar high-level language.
• Experience with NLP and LLM-based solutions.
• Bayesian marketing analytics experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define core growth metrics for products and build monitoring infrastructure.
• Measure impact of marketing campaigns and translate data into actionable decisions.
• Build monitoring pipelines to detect shifts in search traffic patterns.
• Expand evaluation datasets for context understanding in complex scenarios.
• Improve AI-assisted answer triggering while balancing quality and privacy.
