Job summary

You will drive problem framing with product and clinical partners, lead offline-validation, and craft model documentation for regulated products.

Based in Irvine, you will collaborate in person with cross-functional teams to shape patient-focused technology and contribute to Handoff to AI/ML Engineers with regulatory strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in related field with 2+ years of experience in industry or academia.
• Strong Python and SQL skills and deep modeling knowledge.
• Experience with clinical validation or regulated medical software is a plus.
• Experience communicating results to clinical, product, and regulatory partners.

Responsibilities

• Domain modeling for a clinical or product domain.
• Architecture selection for modalities and learning frameworks.
• Apply survival analysis and causal inference as needed.
• Design offline evaluation, calibration, and validation strategies.
• Author model documentation suitable for regulatory submission.
• Mentor junior data scientists and hand off models to engineers.
• Develop and report on ML/AI algorithms and results.
• Prepare data and ensure data quality for analyses.
• Integrate data sources and analytics tools with design controls.
